Red (James Spader) will be on a warpath in "The Blacklist" Season 4, episode 3. NBC

“The Blacklist” Season 4 will uncover more details about Liz’s (Megan Boone) past in this week's episode of the NBC series.

NBC has released “The Blacklist” Season 4, episode 3 official synopsis, which teased that Liz, Red Reddington (James Spader), Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold) and the Task Force will have a hard time tracking down Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen) and taking back Liz’s daughter. Red and the Task Force had finally succeeded in rescuing Liz in last week’s episode, but Kirk got away before they could capture him and ask him about Agnes’ whereabouts.

In addition, the mysteries surrounding Liz’s childhood and parents will continue to be slowly unraveled next episode. In “The Blacklist” Season 4, episode 2, Kirk took Liz to what he calls the “Summer Palace.” While there, Liz started to remember bits and pieces about her life growing up in the house. She even recalled the “time machine” her mother had given to her that she had buried in the yard as a child. Earlier, Kirk told her that the memories she had about her childhood—the fire that ravaged her home, her shooting of her father—had been made up by Red to cover up for the fact that the latter kidnapped her from their home when she was just a child.

But is Kirk telling the truth about everything? Or is he manipulating Liz to get back at his nemesis? Fans will have to wait until the next episode to find out. For now, check out the full synopsis of “The Blacklist” Season 4, episode 3 below!

“Red (James Spader) and the Task Force take extreme measures to hunt down one of Alexander Kirk’s allies, Miles McGrath (Tate Ellington), a ‘criminal incubator’ who finances crimes for profit. Meanwhile, Liz (Megan Boone) learns more about her family,” read the synopsis (via CarterMatt).

NBC has also released the official promo for the upcoming episode of “The Blacklist,” which showed Liz asking Red for any information that could help her find Agnes. Red, who claims that he’ll “handle it” on his own, seems to be on a warpath and has no qualms about killing anyone who gets in between him and Kirk. However, Kirk won’t make it easy for him to trace his and Agnes’ whereabouts. “I’ll die before I ever let you hold my granddaughter again,” Kirk vows to Red.

Find out if Liz finally reunites with her daughter when “The Blacklist” Season 4, episode 3 airs on Thursday, Oct. 6 on NBC.
