This article contains spoilers for “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episodes.

The official Naruto to Boruto Twitter account tweeted Sunday (May 24) that TV Tokyo will air “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 4, which is titled “A Ninjutsu Battle of the Sexes!”

After the coronavirus pandemic started affecting the anime and manga industry, the makers of the show decided to delay the new episodes. Keeping the health of the staff in mind, TV Tokyo postponed “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 155 and beyond.

“Thank you for supporting Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Due to the declaration of a State of Emergency for COVID-19 by the Japanese government, the production schedule for new episodes of the program has been impacted. As a result, we will change the broadcast/streaming schedule for newer episodes,” read the official statement via Crunchyroll.

Meanwhile, Kijima Ryuuichi, a veteran voice actor who voices Mitsuki, tweeted Friday (May 15) about his recent voice recording sessions.

However, he did not reveal if he was doing any “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 155 sessions.

Episode 155 revolves around Mitsuki and his cat Mikazuki meeting an injured man in an alleyway. It is raining and Mitsuki decides to help him.

“ Yes, it was raining that night. Mikatsuki led me to him. And it was the first time we met. His name, where he came from if he is bad or not. All that didn’t matter in the beginning. Mikatsuki took a liking to him as well. But maybe we weren’t meant to meet, after all,” Mitsuki says in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 155 preview trailer.

The episode also showcases a joint mission featuring Team 7 and the local police department. The mission is to protect the president of a company from a serial killer. It remains to be seen if the wounded man and the serial killer have any connection.
