Brad Pitt drew some focus on his appearance Tuesday when he stepped out in New York City looking thinner than ever wearing an ill-fitted black suit. According to a report, Pitt's breakup with Angelina Jolie may have taken a toll on his health; however, this could not be confirmed.

The actor, who split with Jolie in September 2016, attended the premiere of his new Netflix movie, "War Machine," sporting a baggy jacket and oversized trousers. Photos of Pitt out in New York were published by Daily Mail late Tuesday. Amid rumors of Pitt's weight loss, the actor seemed to be in great spirits as he posed for photos before the screening. "War Machine" screens on Netflix from May 26.

Pitt's appearance came the same day he gave an interview to the Associated Press (AP) where he said he was doing fine after his split with Jolie, with whom he was married for two years and shared six children — Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8.

“I've got no secrets,” the 53-year-old star told AP Tuesday. “We're human and I find the human condition very interesting. If we're not talking about it, then we're not getting better.” The star went on adding: “I'm not suicidal or something. ... There's still much beauty in the world and a lot of love. And a lot of love to be given. It's all right. It's just life.”

When he isn’t at work, the "Fight Club" star tries “keeping the ship afloat” and “figuring out the new configuration of our family.”

Recently, Pitt made headlines when he gave a candid interview with GQ Magazine last month, opening up about his divorce from Jolie, 41, for the first time. During the interview, he talked about why he didn’t want to fight with his ex over their children.

“I heard one lawyer say, ‘No one wins in court—it's just a matter of who gets hurt worse,’” Pitt said. “And it seems to be true. You spend a year just focused on building a case to prove your point and why you're right and why they're wrong, and it's just an investment in vitriolic hatred. I just refuse. And fortunately my partner in this agrees. It's just very, very jarring for the kids, to suddenly have their family ripped apart.”

Before the interview went live, Pitt briefed Jolie about the interview and the statements he made. “He's committed to having a healthy relationship with her,” a source told E! Online at the time.

During the GQ interview, Pitt also opened up about his struggle with alcohol.

“...I can’t remember a day since I got out of college when I wasn’t boozing or had a spliff, or something. And you realize that a lot of it is, um—cigarettes, you know, pacifiers,” he said. “And I’m running from feelings. I’m really, really happy to be done with all of that. I mean I stopped everything except boozing when I started my family. But even this last year, you know—things I wasn’t dealing with. I was boozing too much. It just become a problem. And I’m really happy it’s been half a year now, which is bittersweet, but I’ve got my feeling in my fingertips again. I think that’s part of the human challenge: You either deny them all of your life or you answer them and evolve.”

Last year, before Pitt and Jolie announced their split, the "Maleficent" star was also surrounded by rumors of health problems after she was photographed on several occasions at the time sporting her thin physique. However, rumors about Jolie's health problem, which many linked to her marital problems, were debunked. Reports said at the time that Jolie’s weight came down to 79 pounds.
