A bride was expecting her wedding day to be her big moment but up feeling like one of her bridesmaids tried to outshine after continuously cradling her baby bump.

The woman, who chose to remain anonymous, took to social media platform Reddit last month to vent about how her day was negatively impacted due to the bridesmaid who was "deliberately holding" on to her baby bump in wedding photos. The post has since gained attention following coverage from MSN and The Daily Mail.

She wrote, “In one of the first photos I noticed Kate was deliberately holding her belly so it was really obvious in the fabric of her dress (think basically every maternity shoot photo ever taken).”

The bride went on to explain that she then asked Kate, who was 7-months pregnant at the time, to change her pose. “I asked her to stop holding her hands to show off her belly and to just pose like everyone else. I had to remind her a few more times before we'd finished taking the wedding party photos,” reads the post.

Post-wedding, the bride wrote that her expectant bridesmaid has been ignoring her texts because she was upset and claimed she was "trying to make her look fat, not pregnant" in the photos.

This scenario sounds quite similar to that of Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, who has received criticism for holding her baby bump at various functions.
