  • Their latest album "Dynamite" debuted at the top spot on Billboard Hot 100

V has a net worth of around $12 million. Being a member of the popular South Korean group BTS or Bangtan Boys has got a lot to do with it.

V is part of the seven-member hit boy band. He contributes in singing and songwriting for the group that’s considered one of the biggest acts not just in South Korea but worldwide. Born Kim Taehyung, V and other members J-Hope, Jungkook, Jimin, RM, Jin and Suga, continue to make history with massive album sales, sold-out concert tours and big contributions to the South Korean economy.

A report from Celebrity Net Worth revealed that BTS earned a total of at least $50 million in 2019, which means each member received more or less $7 million in that span. The only band to outearn BTS in terms of concert tours is Metallica.

It is not hard to imagine how BTS captures the fancy of international fans even if there is a language barrier. Their music is not confined only to hip hop and rap but also to RnB. Their fashion sense sets trends and brands are eager to sign them up. BTS members have deals with FILA, Coca-Cola, Mattel, and Hyundai, among others. In 10 years, experts predict that the supergroup could bring in as much as $37 billion to their country. With their immense talent, global appeal and a mean marketing machine behind them, success is guaranteed for the boys of BTS.

Individually, each member is wealthy on their own. Aside from his band, V makes some money acting on TV shows. He appeared on “Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth” alongside Park Seo-joon, Park Hyung-sik, Seo Ye-ji, Go Ara and Choi Min-ho, among others.

On the other hand, Jin bought an apartment worth $1.7 million while J-Hope bought his own place for $1.6 million. Moreover, Suga owns a $3 million apartment in Hannam district, known as one of the most opulent places to live in Seoul, per Business Insider.

V reportedly owns four dogs and a cat that are all expensive breeds and Jin has an exotic pet, leucistic sugar glider, which carries a price tag of at least $1,500. Even though they have massive fortunes, the members remain humble and are always willing to lend a hand to those in need. They collaborated with UNICEF in 2017 and raised $1.4 million to end violence against children worldwide.

With their recent album “Dynamite” reaching number one on its debut on the Billboard Hot 100, breaking several records along the way, one thing is for sure: the success of BTS is not slowing down anytime soon.
