Buckingham Palace reportedly embargoed the reports about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent engagement.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have sued several publications, which made the public believe that they have started an all-out war against the press. Royal correspondent Richard Palmer revealed on Twitter that the palace embargoed newspapers from reporting about the couple’s meetup with the service families.

“Harry and Meghan met service families yesterday but, surprisingly, Buckingham Palace said reporting it was embargoed until 9am today - and then put it in the Court Circular published last night. That’s all I’ll say about it,” Palmer wrote.

One said that it was strange for the couple to do it. A different user wondered if Prince Harry and Markle traveled with their own photographer. Another netizen said that she was surprised that there were no photos on the Sussex Instagram account.

Amy Balcomb also wondered why Prince Harry and Markle would do good works, if they don’t want to share them. Another social media user shared her thoughts about the matter.

“They want to share it....they just want to be in control of the images and videos that are released. Perhaps to edit Markle’s embarrassing moments. Also to slap that copyright on them....cha-Ching. Money made while the taxpayers pay the expenses. Allegedly,” the netizen wrote.

Meanwhile, a different online user said that it was not the first communication failure between Buckingham Palace, journalists and the Sussexes. Many reacted to Palmer’s post attacking the couple.

One said that Prince Harry and Markle are not fit for royal life. She advised the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to give up their titles and get a get a real job like the majority of the public. “Royalty should be downsized to those who are constitutionally relevant to the throne,” the user added.

Meanwhile, another user attacked Prince Harry. “Embargoed? What if the media decides to embargo these 2-like news blackout so Harry will no longer hear the clicking of the cameras?” the user wrote.

In related news, there were rumors that Queen Elizabeth II would be taking away Prince Harry and Markle’s royal titles, allowance and homes. Some netizens didn’t believe the reports, but others insisted that they are true.
