Camilla Parker Bowles has transformed over the years after being branded as Britain’s most hated woman.

The Duchess of Cornwall received too much hate due to her illicit affair with Prince Charles while he was still married to Princess Diana. The media hated her more following the Princess of Wales’ death and at one point she was even referred to as the "most hated woman in Britain.”

“She was the ‘evil Camilla’, she was seen as the person who was driving the wedge between the fairy tale princess and the Prince of Wales,” Roddi Vaughan-Thomas, PR executive at OBS Communications said (via Express).

Meanwhile, royal writer Gyles Brandreth praised Camilla for standing strong despite the backlash she received. According to Brandreth, Camilla has made a remarkable transformation. In fact, she can now win PR wars.

“The transformation has been rapid and remarkable, but there is no denying it, and no turning back,” Brandreth wrote on his book “Charles & Camilla.”

Brandreth added that in 2001, Camilla was voted eight on the list of “Worst Dressed Women in the World.” She was event old that she packed the “stylistic punch of dilapidated Yorkshire pudding.” However, things have changed since then for Camilla.

In 2005, her fashion was commended in London, New York, Paris and Rome. The duchess was described as “the epitome of graceful, dignified style.”

Anna Wintour, American Vogue editor also shared her encounter with Camilla. According to her, when she met Prince Charles’ second wife, she couldn’t take her eyes off her because she “looked marvelous.”

Vaughan-Thomas agreed with Camilla’s transformation. According to him, it was done carefully.

“Her image has been transformed, a carefully managed makeover, and they have done a fantastic job rehabilitating her reputation,” he added.

Initially, the palace announced that Camilla would not be a queen consort when Prince Charles becomes king. However, royal experts aren’t convinced. Many of them believed that the Duchess of Cornwall will be queen.

According to royal expert Joe Little, Prince Charles would definitely want his wife to reflect his new status by the time he takes over the throne. Penny Junor had the same observations. She believed that by that time, Prince Charles will be so grateful for everything Camilla has done and sacrificed for him that he that he will insist she gets the full title
