Out with the old in with is the motto for this season of MTV’s “The Challenge.” At least, that’s what the rookies think. Tuesday, Feb. 7, will see the premiere of the network’s “The Challenge: Invasion of the Champions.”
After spending weeks battling it out for the win, the show’s rookie competitors will find out they’re actually not competing against each other, they’re also fighting against the show’s toughest veterans. Meet the Underdog and Champion cast members before the 2017 premiere (and get a few spoilers!) in the slideshow above.
“The Challenge: Invasion of the Champions” premieres at 9 p.m. EST on MTV. Ahead of the two-hour episode, check out the “Hall of Fame” special, featuring champion Chris “CT” Tamburello, at 8:30 p.m. EST.
UNDERDOG- Nicole's closest allies could go against her and she could find a new romantic partner, MTV has revealed.
MTVCHAMPion- Cara Maria’s last “Challenge” didn’t end on the best note, despite her first-place win. Now that she and Abraham have finally broken up, Cara Maria has nothing else holding her back.
MTVUNDERDOG- New friends and old allies will prove troublesome for Sylvia. Will she remain loyal to her “Real World: Skeletons” house guests or branch out anew?
MTVCHAMPION- Camila wants to prove she’s focused. Is she determined enough to add a second victory to her resume?MTVUNDERDOG- Nelson’s determination could take him far in the game. “I did not give up and I turned my life around,” Nelson told MTV of his childhood spent in poverty. “I’m here to win.”
MTVUNDERDOG- Marie’s business minded, but is she ready for a challenge? MTV reveals she could have staying focused this season when her “crush” in the game demands attention.
MTVCHAMPION- He’s back! After a three-year break, Chris CT Tamburello will return for “Invasion.” Could the one-time winner secure another victory? Viewers will have to stay tuned to find out!MTVUNDERDOG- Back with a new frame of mind, Tony is ready to compete for his two children back home. He has high hopes to get a handle on his emotions this time around.
MTVUNDERDOG- It’s been awhile since Shane appeared on a “Challenge” and now he’s back, hoping the sixth time is the charm.
MTVCHAMPION- A fifth win could very well be in Darrell’s future. With four wins already behind him, the “Road Rules: Campus Crawl” star is back attempting another victory.
MTVUNDERDOG-A new romance and LaToya's failure to steer clear of the drama could kill her plans for an “Invasion” win.
MTVUNDERDOG- Kailah’s feisty personality won’t sit well with most of her fellow underdogs. Could her attitude work against her on “Invasion”?
MTVCHAMPION- Wanting to prove his one win wasn’t a “fluke,” Zach will return to compete alongside his former flame Jenna Compono.
MTVThis “Are You the One?” alum will return to cause more drama. The network teases Amanda may “shoot herself in the foot” with her pop-off tendencies.MTVUNDERDOG- A former collegiate football player? Say no more! There’s no doubting Theo has the athleticism it takes to be a “Challenge” champion.
MTVCHAMPION- This heavy-hitter could have the underdogs shaking in their boots. Laurel confirms to MTV she won’t play with her own emotions in “Invasion.”
MTVUNDERDOG- Someone get this girl a win! Jenna will attempt a first-place prize in “Invasion” with the rest of the underdogs.
MTVUNDERDOG- This “Are You the One?” alums love for women could interfere with Hunter's game, MTV has revealed.MTVUNDERDOG- Sleeping on his friends’ couches has Dario determined to do better than his stint on “Rivals III.” MTV teases his first season as a “lone wolf” could work in his favor.MTVUNDERDOG- He may have what it takes to be a winner but his love for women could prevent him from keeping his head in the game.
MTVUNDERDOG- Bruno from “Real World: Skeletons” alum is known for beating the odds, but the “Challenge” could prove too much for this underdog.MTVSix wins wasn’t enough for Johnny Bananas. After his controversial win in last season, the “Challenge” vet is back for another round. MTV teases, however, that he may have some “karma” coming his way after taking Sarah Rice’s prize money. MTVSure, Ashley M she made it far in “Rivals III” but this “Real World” alum wants to win big. MTV teases she may have to ignore distractions along the way in order to keep her eye on the prize.MTVAnthony from “Are You the One?” is unwilling to settle with defeat. “Winning is the goal, and anything short of that is a disappointment in my eyes,” he told MTV.MTVAshley K may have one challenge win under her belt, but she still “feels pressure” to prove herself.
