Corey La Barrie's friends and fellow Youtube stars recently remembered him on social media after Daniel Silva was sentenced to a year behind bars on Tuesday for his role in the former's death on May 10.

The “Ink Master” star, who was in the driver's seat during the fatal car accident that killed La Barrie on his 25th birthday, has been sentenced to 364 days in county jail. A judge credited 216 days for time already served.

Following the announcement of Silva's sentence, La Barrie’s friends and fellow Youtube stars took to social media to express their thoughts about the conclusion of the case and once more pay tribute to the late YouTube star.

YouTuber Crawford Collins tweeted, “The justice system is f----d.” He also retweeted a post from Christian Seavey, which read, “Justice will be served.”

Collins went on to share how La Barrie influenced him and revealed that the late YouTuber was one of the people who helped him get through a rough patch in his life.

JC Caylen, who co-created “Big Brother”-style reality competition series “The Reality House” in which La Barrie had been a cast member, also posted a message seemingly referencing Silva's sentencing.

“Just know i heavily believe in karma. energy doesn’t lie & i know the world & whoever is working it will make things right for the good people,” he tweeted.

Andrea Russett commented on his post, writing, “couldn’t possibly agree more. karma will come. the best we can do is focus on healing and celebrating coreys life. love you!!!!”

Pop artist Eben commented on an article about Silva’s sentencing, writing, “Coreys life was worth more than a year in jail. This just shows what money can get you.”

Oscar Guerra, another YouTuber and a friend of La Barrie, penned a heartfelt message on Twitter for his late pal. Without naming Silva, he pointed at a person who “not only did you ruin your life but in doing so you took a life and ruined and caused trauma for many other lives.”

Guerra also shed light on what transpired on the night of the accident, recounting how everyone tried to stop Silva from driving. He also said that the tragic turn of events happened because the tattoo artist “wanted to show off your materialistic lifestyle.”

Guerra went on to say that while he accepted Silva’s apology, it wouldn’t bring back La Barrie.

Aside from one year in county jail, Silva was also given five years of probation and 250 hours of community service. He also received a suspended prison sentence of four years, which he is not required to serve on the condition that his probationary period is completed without issue.

Silva’s attorney, Mike Cavalluzzi, told E! News that his client is grateful that he would not serve a state prison sentence and that he was given probation.

The lawyer added, “He continues to be remorseful and grief stricken by Corey's loss.”
