She thought she had managed to eliminate the woman she considers a threat to her relationship, but Claire will receive a huge bombshell from Tripp about some plans he’s made with Haley on the Friday, March 22 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Things didn’t go well for Haley (Thia Megia) when she faced an immigration judge on the NBC soap, and she was ordered to return to China within 30 days. JJ (Casey Moss) then offered to marry her in order to help keep her in the country, and she was considering the offer. However, things changed after she went to see Tripp (Lucas Adams)--and the two decided the best course of action was for them to get married instead. Naturally, this news isn’t going to sit well with JJ—or Tripp’s girlfriend Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan).

Claire was the reason Haley was picked up by the authorities to begin with because she gave Eve (Kassie DePaiva) and Jack (Matthew Ashford) the tip that the other woman was hiding out in the loft, and she did it because she is possessive of Tripp and doesn’t want any woman who could serve as competition to get in her way. That same streak of jealousy that causes her to lash out is also why she was the one who set fire to the cabin last summer and tried to kill Ciara (Victoria Konefal)--though no one else knows that.

Because she goes to such extremes for the sake of her relationship, she naturally won’t be very keen to learn that Tripp is now planning to marry Haley in an effort to keep her in the country.

However, in typical Claire fashion, she likely won’t show how betrayed she feels when Tripp informs her of the plan, but will quickly work to find a way to stop it from happening. Whether she will once again go to Eve and form a sneaky plan to stop the marriage with her or does something else completely on her own, she isn’t going to go down without a fight.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
