"Demon Slayer" Season 2 was announced to arrive later this year. While the team behind the anime has not yet revealed much about the incoming installment, the latest trailer gives fans a lot of information on what to look forward to.

The recently released announcement trailer for "Demon Slayer" Season 2 confirmed that the anime would focus on the Entertainment District arc and pick up after the events in "Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train." More popularly known as the Red Light District arc by manga readers, it pursues the thread where Tanjiro and his team work with one of the members of Hashira, this time with Tengen Azui.

The Sound Hashira of the demon Slayer Corps needs the help of Tanjiro in finding his missing wives. In terms of plot, the Entertainment District arc is one of the manga's best arcs that offers a massive shift in action flow. Fans will see Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko unlock new powers, Tengenin combat, as well as interesting moments from Zenitsu and Inosuke.

Aside from this, the new villain at the center of this arc is drawing many fans' attention. The woman teased in the announcement trailer in Oiran is the antagonist Daki. She is a member of the Twelve Kizuki and the secondary holder of Upper-Rank Six's position. She is described as prideful and sadistic and known for messing with her victims before killing them.

Aside from Daki, "Demon Slayer" Season 2 will most likely introduce her brother Gyutaro, another antagonist in the Entertainment District arc of the manga. Fans will discover that Daki and Gyutaro's relationship goes far beyond siblings, to which Tanjiro and Nezuko could definitely relate. It will be interesting to see the main characters and Tengen battle against these villains.

So far, no specific release date for "Demon Slayer" Season 2 has been revealed. Also, the team has not yet revealed the number of episodes that the upcoming season will feature. If they stick with the same pattern as the first season, fans could see at least 26 episodes.
