In a case of animal cruelty, a dog owner put her pet in a tumble dryer and turned it on during an Instagram live stream.

In the less-than-a-minute video, the young woman, allegedly from Dallas, can be heard saying "Alright, I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna put his a-- back in the dryer.”

She then says "He likes that s---! Look! He likes that s--!" and picks up the dog, put it in a tumble dryer before closing the door and switching it on. She then laughs before opening the door. The canine then stumbles and runs away. The woman continues to laugh loudly before turning the camera toward the dog, which is seen cowering under the table. The dog owner allegedly did this several times.

The video went viral on social media after a Twitter user posted the video clip, just a few hours after it was live streamed on Aug.10, with the caption, “Someone please call the police on this girl. Some people don’t deserve dogs or pets at all. It’s complete abuse how they treat them.”

The video caused outrage among netizens who reported the incident to police and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

“ I hate people who abuse living things for the clout. If that attention meant endangering animals then was it really worth it? There’s nothing funny about this and I’m sure the Dallas police department will do something about her. I hope that dog will have a safer home,” wrote a Twitter user.

“I went directly to the Dallas Police Department website and posted a crime tip with a link to this. I’m certain others gave to. If they are bombarded with requests to investigate I’m sure they will. Now I just hope we get will get news something was done about it,” wrote another user.

“Damn right! This is animal abuse, which is a felony. She has no regards for hurting another being, which is called sociopath. It's a matter of time before this poor dog ends up dead. & She'll go on to start hurting people,” another user wrote.
