YouTube star Olivia Jade, who is currently a contestant on the reality TV show "Dancing With the Stars," opened up about the show's impact on her life and how she used to have a lot of guilt and shame, ET reported.

Jade's mother, actor Lori Loughlin was arrested for paying a bribe of $500,000 to get Jade and her sister Isabella Rose admission to the University of Southern California (USC).

The 20-year-old YouTuber spoke with the outlet Tuesday after the performance, noting that her sister cheered her from the audience that night. Jade noted that it was an "emotional" moment for her in a "weird way."

"I feel like it kind of makes me emotional in a weird way just because... I'm not gonna cry," Jade said before bursting into tears. "I think it's like a sense of, like, I walk outside in the world the last few years, and I have a lot of, like, an overwhelming amount of guilt and shame."

Jade's professional dancing partner, Val Chmerkovskiy comforted her during the interview as she teared up. She went on to explain how the show has impacted her life in a positive way.

"I think what I was trying to get out was that I have the last few years just been, like, feeling a little bit shameful, so it's really like having a new sense of confidence, obviously comes a lot from Val and being in the show, and I'm just really grateful," she added while speaking to the outlet.

Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli were not the only parents whose reputation was tainted in the USC admission scandal.

The United States Department of Justice revealed on April 8, 2019, that there are 13 parents in total and one coach from USC who pleaded guilty. Loughlin served two months in the prison and was asked to pay $150,000 in fine. She also completed her 100 hours of community service.

On the work front, Loughlin is all set to return to acting.

While she had been a regular on Hallmark Channel's "When Calls the Heart" from 2014 to 2019, the media company said in a statement to ET that they don't have any plans of casting her again.

Jade, on the other hand, will feature in a horror movie titled "Gross," which is currently under post-production.
