Things continue to shape up for the “Game of Thrones” prequel series, “House of the Dragon,” with more casting announcements showing the series is still very much alive and well at HBO.

The series, which is in production and does not yet have a premiere date, is set to tell the story of the events which unfolded prior to the “Game of Thrones” timeline, and is based on George R.R. Martin’s Book, “Fire and Blood.” The events, according to HBO, take place 300 years before the story fans were first acquainted with, and tells the story of Daenerys Targaryen’s relatives—the same ones who were references many times in the other story for the role they played in the events that unfolded years later.

Here’s everything we know about the cast in the new show:

Which Characters Are Expected

No announcements have been made in regards to Daenerys’ more direct relatives, like Aegon II Targaryen, or her father, King Aerys II Targaryen, also known as the Mad King. It’s unclear how far the story will reach into the future to match up timelines, so characters like Aerys could not appear. However, Aegon is likely expected at some point, as he was the king to eventually succeed Viserys after the Dance of Dragons.

Who Is Confirmed

King Viserys Targaryen, Alicent Hightower, Princess Rhaenyra and Prince Daemon have all officially been cast in the show. Here’s what we know:

Paddy Considine (“Informer,” “The Third Day”) as King Viserys Targaryen: According to an HBO Press release, Viserys succeeded King Jaehaerys and is a warm, kind and decent man, which doesn’t bode well for those who sit on the Iron Throne.

Olivia Cooke (“Bates Motel”) as Alicent Hightower: Her father, Otto Hightower, is the Hand of the King, and she is the comeliest woman in the Seven Kingdoms, with courtly grace and a “keen political acumen.”

Emma D’Arcy (“Wanderlust”) as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen: A dragon rider, the first-born child and woman of pure Valyrian blood who will have a major role in the wars to come.

Matt Smith (“Dr. Who,” “The Crown”) as Prince Daemon Targaryen: The King’s younger brother and heir to the throne with the true blood of the dragon who certainly lives up to the Targaryen reputation.
