After police issued an Amber alert on Tuesday for a missing baby in Miami, the father was found dead in rural wooded area in Florida on Wednesday.

The father, Ernesto Caballeiro, 49, was found lifeless in a wooded area in Pasco County, 50 yards away from the white van described in the alert and had a self-inflicted gunshot wound, CNN reported.

Police found old receipts and a baby’s pacifier in the van but no sign of the baby, Andrew Caballeiro.

Investigators are now working to find the baby and are looking for information on a blonde woman who is considered as a witness and was reportedly seen inside the van with Caballeiro and his one-week-old son.

Authorities believe that the woman has Andrew.
"I sit here and I pray to God that that is true and that she has the baby," Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco said. "And if that woman is out there, if there is anybody, if that is a true fact, and that woman is out there, please come forward.”

The said vehicle was found near Interstate 75 in Blanton and investigators reportedly tried to determine if this was the meeting place between Ernesto and the woman.

Since the Amber alert was issued, police deployed helicopters and bloodhounds to aid in the search but the baby is nowhere to be found.

In a WPBF report, the Miami-Dade County police started investigating on three homicides that occurred in the same address where the child went missing on Tuesday.

The three victims, all females were found dead from gunshot wounds.

The police initially did not disclose the identity of the three women nor their connection to Ernesto.

A family friend, Miguel Gonzales told WSVN that the women were the baby’s mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and were identified as Arlety Garcia Valdes, 40; Isabela Valdes, 60; and Lina Gonzales, 84, respectively.
