Carlos Valdes as Cisco

Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Julian (Tom Felton) are going to find themselves at odds with one another as they try to figure out a way to turn Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) back into Caitlin (Panabaker) in upcoming episodes of “The Flash.”

In a recent interview with TVLine, Valdes said that Team Flash might not be able to pull Caitlin off the Killer Frost ledge once again by simply giving her some pep talk. “That worked once; I’m not sure it’ll work again,” Valdes told TVLine on the Vancouver set of the CW series. “We might have to resort to some more desperate measures.”

Apparently, a debate over how desperate those measures should get creates conflict between Cisco and Julian, who both have a close relationship with Caitlin.

“Today I’m doing a scene with the beautiful Tom Felton, who makes it very difficult for me to stay focused on the scene because of how gorgeous he is,” Valdes joked after filming an intense scene with the “Harry Potter” alum. “They reach a bit of a rift, because Cisco carries these reservations with him as of late about his powers. This is his worst nightmare, because the last thing he wants to do is hurt Caitlin.”

While Cisco is hesitant about hurting Caitlin, Felton appears to be more open to using harsh methods to get Caitlin back. “Killer Frost is on the rampage, and Cisco and I are falling out slightly over the best manner in which to try and get her back,” the British actor said. “She’s full-blown nutter, so we have to rely on some pretty severe methods to try and stop her.”

In a separate interview with Entertainment Weekly, Panabaker explained why both Cisco and Julian are going to have a hard time facing off against Killer Frost to bring Caitlin back.

“The relationship between Cisco and Caitlin is so pure, and it’s one of my favorite relationships on the show,” Panabaker said. “It’s completely platonic. It doesn’t feel that either one wants more from the other than the deep sibling-like love that they have for each other. [So] it’s going to be very taxing on Cisco, in particular, because Killer Frost doesn’t care about Cisco the way that Caitlin Snow did.”

The same can be said for Julian. “In last week’s episode, you get the sense that Julian is willing to do whatever he can to bring Caitlin Snow back,” said the actress. “[But] it’s [still] just going to be this struggle of Caitlin Snow vs. Killer Frost, who’s going to win out?”

While it’s unclear whether or not Team Flash will be able to turn Killer Frost back into Caitlin, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said that Panabaker “is not going anywhere.” “How and if she becomes Caitlin Snow again, or she remains Killer Frost or a version of Killer Frost, into season 4, you’re going to have to tune in,” he teased.

An all new episode of “The Flash” (Season 3, episode 20) airs tonight at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
