Tampa, Florida -- A 60-year-old area woman hit a nurse with a handheld urinal earlier this week, resulting in the victim getting "soaked" in "bodily fluid," police documents revealed.

The elderly woman, identified as Beth Redden, got into a confrontation with her 83-year-old roommate, Theodore Hamilton, while the two were inside their residence at the Teakwood Village Mobile Home Park in Largo shortly before 2:45 p.m. Monday, an arrest affidavit obtained by the Smoking Gun showed.

It was unclear why Redden and Hamilton got into a confrontation.

The item struck Hamilton, but it did not leave any physical markings, officer Stephanie Blitz wrote in the police document.

A nurse who was inside the home at the time, Joyce Lawrence, witnessed the incident and attempted to intervene. This resulted in Redden striking Lawrence "multiple times in the stomach region," the affidavit read.

Lawrence tried to disengage, but Redden ended up throwing a plastic handheld urinal filled with Hamilton's "bodily fluid" at the nurse, according to the document.

"The urinal's contents of urine flew out and soaked Lawrence as well as the interior of the residence," Blitz said.

Police later arrived and found Lawrence "covered in a wet liquid." The residence also had a "faint smell based on my training and experience, I was able to identify as urine," she noted.

Redden was arrested on two counts of felony battery on a person 65 years of age or older following the incident.

The elderly woman, who was jailed in lieu of $5,000 bond, has pleaded not guilty to her charges.

Redden was reportedly convicted in the past of drunk driving, trespassing, and making a false report to law enforcement.

In another story, a 51-year-old man in Largo threatened to shoot his neighbor after the latter used a leaf blower in the morning.

The unnamed neighbor was removing leaves from the roof of his home on Sunnybrook Lane on March 8 when he heard between seven to eight shots being fired into the air.

He then encountered Curtis Manfred Franz, who threatened to shoot him and his dog should he keep using his blower.

Franz was later arrested for felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor discharging a firearm in public.
