Gal Gadot recently revealed that she was close to quitting acting before she landed the lead role in “Wonder Woman.”

While speaking with Willie Geist on “Sunday Today,” the 32-year-old actress said that she thought about returning to law school instead of dealing with more rejections in Hollywood.

“There’s so much ‘no.’ There’s so much rejection in this world that I thought, ‘Maybe it’s not for me… Maybe I should go back to law school instead of dragging my family with me,” she said. When asked how close she truly was to quitting, Gadot said, “As close as it gets.”

But Gadot didn’t really have any plans to become an actress. She rose to fame after winning Miss Israel in 2004. She eventually competed in Miss Universe, and this paved the way for her to be noticed by casting agents. “I never thought about becoming an actress and the opportunity kind of came my way. I started to become more curious about it, and then I fell in love with the profession – but it wasn’t like I was growing up dreaming of becoming an actress,” she said.

Meanwhile, Gadot starred in “Wonder Woman” in May of this year. The character recently appeared in “Justice League.” But Gadot made headlines not for her role in the latter, but after she allegedly threatened to leave the franchise if Brett Ratner won’t be fired, according to People.

Ratner was accused by multiple women of sexual misconduct, and Gadot told Page Six that she wasn’t the only one who wanted the producer out. “At the end of the day, a lot has been said about my views and the way that I feel, and everyone knows the way that I feel because I’m not hiding anything. But the truth is, there’s so many people making this movie – it’s not just me – and they all echoed the same sentiments,” she said.

The producer was recently fired from “Wonder Woman 2.” The film is slated to hit theaters on Nov. 1, 2019.
