"Game of Thrones" Season 5, episode 7 airs Sunday. HBO

"Game of Thrones" Season 5, episode 7, "The Gift," airs Sunday on HBO, much to the delight of fans. The show will not be taking a break for Memorial Day and considering how controversial the end of last week's episode was, that's a good thing. Based on the previously released episode synopsis and an episode 7 trailer, "The Gift" will focus on events transpiring in the North and King's Landing.

Warning: "Game of Thrones" Season 5 spoilers ahead.

"Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken" ended with the highly controversial rape of Sansa Stark. The scene was discussed by critics, producers, actors and fans with some holding out hope that the show will handle the storyline properly. Others were more concerned about the scene, based on the show's history, while other fans and even a popular site vowed to quit "Game of Thrones."

In the "Game of Thrones" Season 5, episode 7 preview, viewers see Sansa plotting with Theon/Reek. The North remembers and House Stark has plenty of allies. It would be easy for Sansa to recruit people to take down the traitorous Boltons. We get a quick look at a pained Sansa as Ramsay kisses her cheek.

At Castle Black, Jon Snow is preparing to journey beyond the Wall to Hardhome in a rescue mission before the coming winter. Jon will be joined by Tormund Giantsbane and will use Stannis' fleet of ships to reach the free folk establishment. Jon's departure puts Samwell Tarly in a precarious situation. Sam has always been an outcast among the Night's Watch and without his trusted ally, Alliser Thorne notes he is surrounded by enemies.

Stannis marches to war against the Boltons, but it may take some time to get to Winterfell. During the scene at the camp, we see Stannis talking to Ser Davos while Melisandre can be seen in the background. Across the Narrow Sea, there's a glimpse of Jorah training for his debut in the fighting pit.

King's Landing will also appear in "The Gift." Cersei scored a massive victory in her war against the Tyrells after the High Sparrow had Margaery imprisoned and Ser Loras will have to go to trial for his crimes against the church. Oleanna remains in King's Landing while we also get a look at a distressed Margaery in a dirty cell.

The preview does not feature any scenes from Dorne, but released details and photos show Jaime talking to his daughter, Myrcella. "Jon prepares for conflict. Sansa tries to talk to Theon. Brienne waits for a sign. Stannis [Stephen Dillane] remains stubborn. Jaime attempts to reconnect with family," reads the "Game of Thrones" Season 5, episode 7 synopsis.
