Gayle King is reportedly set to rake in a lot more money, just weeks after her widely viewed and talked about interview with R. Kelly. She brought in huge ratings for CBS as the R&B singer spoke candidly about child pornography and child abuse allegations, in addition to unpaid child support to his ex-wife. And now, it appears the network is looking to renew her contract.

King, 64, currently makes $5.5 million a year after signing a $16.5 million for three years deals with "CBS This Morning" in 2016. According to Page Six, she is set to sign a new multi-million contract in order to lengthen her stay as the anchor of the morning show.

Recently, King was questioned about her future with CBS by the Hollywood Reporter, and she didn't give a definitive answer about whether or not she would stay with the network, which may be why CBS may be ready to offer her a salary increase.

She said, “All I can say is I really love my job. And I think it’s kind of foolish to predict the future.”

It is unclear what King’s negotiations are at this time, but an insider told Page Six, “Everything has gone very quiet. Nothing will be done until Gayle has signed her contract. It looks likely that she’s staying — but we don’t know what the holdup is."
