A grandfather in Houston, Texas, died on Thursday after trying to stop a tow truck driver from repossessing his SUV.

According to the family of 68-year-old Alberto Nduli, he approached the driver after hearing from neighbors that his vehicle was being towed, reports ABC13. Authorities said Nduli jumped on his SUV while the tow truck driver continued down the street.

Eventually, Nduli fell and ended up hitting his head on the concrete. The tow driver continued to drive until he dropped the SUV off at a storage lot. It was only then that he returned to the scene.

It is expected that the driver will be charged with failure to stop and render aid.

According to Nduli's relatives, he was a security guard who was married, had seven children, and was also a grandfather.
