Annalise (Viola Davis) and the Keating Five are feeling the heat as the investigation into their murderous night at the Hapstall mansion — and the hunt for Phillip (Jefferson White) — continues. With the pressure mounting, everyone's on edge, and it seems it's manifesting differently for each of them.

According to the synopsis for episode 15, Annalise will make a run for it when the drama becomes too much. A promo video reveals her safe haven amid threats of violence from Phillip — her mother's house. Meanwhile, back at Middleton University the Keating Five, as well as Annalise's helpers, are falling apart. Frank (Charlie Webber), who is still reeling after an ugly breakup with Laurel (Karla Souza), will struggle to come to terms with his dark past during "Anna Mae." After admitting to Laurel in an earlier episode that he killed Lila (Megan West) — which sent his then-girlfriend running for the hills — Frank is looking to get back in her good graces. Video shows him seeking other options after failing to get through to her. Bonnie (Liza Wiel) can be heard asking if he's "going to do something dumb," which leaves fans of the show wondering whether he could kill again.

The trailer for the episode also teases other notable upcoming finale moments. The Keating Five are shown staring at video footage of the police precinct — could it be related to the investigation? When they're not obsessing over their potential imprisonment, Michaela (Aja Naomi King) and Asher (Matt McGorry) will continue their scandalous and secret romance. The clip also shows a blood-filled room as the voiceover suggests "two more" will be added to the series' body count.

When the show left off in episode 14, Annalise had turned to drinking to cope with both her personal demons and the stress of Phillip's return. During a night of heavy drinking she is confronted by Bonnie, which frustrates her. She kicks everyone but Wes out of her house, leaving them vulnerable to an attack. While the Keating Five, as well as Bonnie and Frank, are out drinking, she and Wes have an important talk over vodka on the rocks. She reveals to him the truth about his mother Rose's death.

Annalise shares with Wes that, while he was named as the primary suspect in her killing, his mother's death was most definitely a suicide. As for why she would kill herself with a young child to care for, Annalise shares with her troubled young student that Rose was raped by Charles Mahoney, the hedge fund manager attached to the case. She says he is Wes' father, although he had previously believed his father was another man who had died.
