President Trump is facing backlash after he crashed a wedding party held Saturday at his New Jersey golf club shortly after the mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, and hours before the Dayton, Ohio, shooting. Some lawmakers and social media users were quick to condemn his Twitter postings that addressed the attacks.

The wedding reception took place hours after he had taken to Twitter to offer his and first lady’s “heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the great people of Texas.”

But Trump's tweets of support were also mixed with other tweets that promoted a celebrity fight along with political attacks.

Trump was scolded by many congressional Democrats for the tweets, which were his only responses to the tragedy when he was at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

On Monday, Trump on Twitter pointed blame at "fake news" for contributing to "anger and rage" in the country.

To little surprise, reactions to Trump's responses drew heavy criticism on social media.

Film director Rob Reiner even suggested potential impeachment should include incitement of violence against fellow human beings.

The apparent vitriol intensified after photos emerged of Trump at the wedding reception.

The photos were first posted on Instagram by Trio Productions, the DJ company hired for the reception.

While the pictures included typical wedding posts, it also included a picture of Trump with the bride, who was identified as Alyssa in the post.

More pictures began emerging online of Trump at the party, sparking another a wave of backlash against the president just hours before the shooting in Dayton.

Since campaigning for the White House in 2015, Trump has faced criticism for fueling racial tension and encouraging a culture of hate. Trump has insisted that he's the world's "least racist person."

The Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism recently released a report that found a 9% increase in hate crimes in 30 major U.S. cities in 2018.

In response to the highly critical remarks about his administration, Trump fired back at Britain's ambassador to the United States Kim Darroch, saying the ambassador had “not served the U.K. well”. Pixabay
