Wendy Williams’ family and friends voiced their concern for her after the TV host made the shocking claim that she recently got married.

Williams’ brother, Tommy, spoke with Page Six about the media personality’s current situation. Accord to him, Wendy’s recent appearances and interviews were “really sad.”

Tommy noted that he recently spoke with his sister, and she never mentioned anything about a husband. Earlier this week, Wendy dropped a bombshell when she claimed she had tied the knot with an NYPD cop.

In her conversation with celebrity blog Hollywood Unlocked CEO Jason Lee, the “Wendy Williams Show” host shared a few updates about her life, including her “exciting news about her new hubby.”

Lee shared a clip from a telephone call she had with Williams online. The 58-year-old talk show host repeatedly said, “I’m married,” in the recording.

Details about her wedding were scarce, but Lee disclosed that Wendy’s husband was a cop named Henry.

Reacting to his sister’s shocking news, Tommy told Page Six, “She wasn’t getting married last week. I think it’s kind of crazy, and very unnerving.”

“I’ve been with Wendy since the very beginning, and she’s never talked like this, but I don’t think it’s her fault. It’s a precarious situation,” he noted.

The entertainment news outlet added that Williams’ friends and family were worried that she could be surrounded by people who don’t want what’s best for her.

They felt like Wendy was being rushed into work and make media appearances before she’s healthy enough to do so.

Williams has been on a downward spiral since the cancellation of her talk show. Insiders claimed she hasn’t improved ever since she went off the air.

“Things are really off. It’s not the same Wendy … She’s regressed like crazy and her family in Florida is very worried for her,” one anonymous source told Page Six.

Wendy’s manager, William Selby, previously denied that she got married. However, he admitted that she was dating a cop.

“Wendy is excited about everything new in her life, and her main priority is her health and shooting her first episode of her podcast. That's the focus right now. You never know anything is serious when it comes to the affairs of the heart until it's serious,” Selby told Entertainment Tonight.
