Ivanka Trump continues to face backlash despite her efforts to help President Donald Trump in the implementation of his programs and policies. Aside from Melania Trump, the wife of Jared Kushner is considered as the female face of the current administration. Recently, a report claimed that prominent anti-trafficking organizations will skip Ivanka’s upcoming summit, which will honor a federal law establishing trafficking as a felony.

The Washington Post reported that a number of top anti-trafficking groups have expressed their lack of interest in gracing a White House event on fighting human trafficking on Friday. The organizations, allegedly, refused to attend the event due to its opposition to President Donald Trump’s policies.

“We have such a chasm between rhetoric and reality,” Human Trafficking Legal Center’s Martina Vandenberg told the outlet. "I don’t think any of us have the desire to be a part of a photo op,” she continued. Other representatives from some of the groups criticized the administration’s stricter regulations on T visas.

Ivanka Trump refused to comment on the reports about the eight groups set to boycott the upcoming event. However, the first daughter told the news publication that she stands with President Donald Trump and his policies. “I am honored to stand with the president as we convene federal, state, local and tribal leaders, alongside survivors, employers and advocates to ensure that we see the end of the crisis of human trafficking once and for all,” Ivanka said.

Netizens were also quick to express their thoughts about the matter on social media. “Jeffrey Epstein modeled his human trafficking operation on Trump’s ‘modeling’ agency. That’s why Trump is so well informed on the subject. Ivanka knows this full well,” Tom Busiahn wrote on Twitter. “Anti-human-trafficking groups refuse to attend a summit with people who kidnap and cage children at the border (fixed their headline for you),” second Twitter user said.

“Because it's all a grifting scam. Everything she does is. She just got a Chinese Trademark for ‘Trump Escorts’. She uses child labor for her shoes. What qualifications does she have to be in WH. We did not elect her. Many reasons,” another netizen stated. “Good. No point in wasting your time with an administration that cannot be taken seriously,” another user added.

Ivanka Trump has yet to comment on these harsh remarks.
