“I Am Jazz” star Jazz Jennings is proud of being “perfectly imperfect.” This is her latest message on social media after getting accepted into Harvard and Pomona College.

On Wednesday, Jazz took to Instagram to reveal that she used to be obsessed with perfection, but now she’s learned to accept her flaws. She admitted that chasing perfection prevented her from embracing her individuality or the “wholeness” of her being, which includes her flaws.

“Instead of trying to be ‘perfect,’ now my goal is to embrace who I am and be the best version of myself I can be! The best version of me still makes mistakes but allows those errors to fuel growth and positive change. Recognizing that you’re perfectly imperfect is the path to loving yourself unconditionally,” Jennings wrote in her caption for a snap of herself.

Jennings’ post is actually a paid promotion for the movie “UglyDolls,” which is set to premiere on May 3. However, the reality star related the animated film to her personal experience since it tackles a very important lesson about “embracing the unique qualities that make you who you are and releasing expectations of being perfect.”

The trans teen made the post after getting accepted into Harvard and Pomona College early this month. While she, her family and fans were very happy about the acceptance letters, many people attacked her online and claimed that she only got accepted because she’s transgender and has a TV show.

However, her brother, Sander, clapped back at haters and pointed out that his sister’s test scores, grades and extra curricular activities actually met all the requirements to get into Harvard and Pomona. He also noted that Jazz has managed to balance her academics and other activities while serving as a role model to many people.

Many of Jazz’s fans also came to her defense by pointing out that the TLC show has pretty much made it known that Jazz has always been at the top of her class and she’s proven her intelligence on more than one occasion.

“I Am Jazz” has been renewed for a sixth season and it’s possible that Jazz hasn’t revealed which school she picked because she’s making the big reveal on the show. Meanwhile, it isn’t clear if Jazz’s boyfriend, Ahmir Steward, would come back for the reality series’ next installment.
