“I Am Jazz” star Jazz Jennings just got accepted to Harvard and Pomona College, but some are not happy for the reality star. They apparently think that her gender and her TLC show may have easily earned her a slot in one of the most prestigious universities in the world.

On Tuesday, the 18-year-old LGBT advocate showed off her two acceptance letters from Harvard and Pomona to her fans via an Instagram story. Jazz said she couldn’t decide which one to choose in her post.

Her brother Sander, who was one of the first to find out the good news, also proudly took to Instagram to congratulate Jazz. “I am incredibly proud of you and excited to watch your flourish in the next stage of life,” he captioned a photo of him and his sister.

Right away the announcement was met with some negativity. Some social media users criticized and attacked Jazz for getting into Harvard because they think that she’s not competent enough to be accepted to the esteemed school.

“No offense but let us be honest. Jazz only got into Harvard because she’s trans and has a show on TLC. She didn’t get there academically. Not exactly fair,” user _aeschlimann wrote.

“Let’s say if she wasn’t famous for being trans and didn’t have her own show she wouldn’t be able to get into Harvard unless she bought her way in. [P]eople with perfect resumes and straight A’s still struggle to get into Harvard,” another user, dream_the_rapper, commented.

“Jazz Jennings who could barely get they (sic) a HS Class, participated in zero school activities and had an awful attendance record, got into Harvard? #Harvard #Fraud #RaiseTheBar,” user Rosie tweeted.

However, Sander did not let the criticism slide. He commented in his own post and pointed out that Jazz’s “test scores, grades and extra curricular activities met all the requirements for Pomona and Harvard.” He also noted that Jazz has not only been a role model to many, but she’s also managed to balance her other activities with her academics.

Many of Jazz’s fans also came to her defense. They pointed out how her family have said multiple times on the reality show that Jazz was always top of her class and has always proven how smart she really is. They also slammed Jazz’s critics by saying that they are just jealous because the trans teen got into their dream school instead of them.

Meanwhile, “I Am Jazz” has been renewed for another season recently. Since Jazz is already done with her bottom surgery, the show might follow her in the next chapter of her life as a college student. It’s unclear if her boyfriend, Ahmir Steward, will still be part of the show. Ahmir recently deactivated his Instagram after revealing his depression battle and telling his followers that he hasn’t been happy for months now.

Prior Ahmir’s revelation, there were rumors that he and Jazz were no longer together. Fans apparently noticed that Jazz failed to mention Ahmir when she thanked all the people who supported her in Season 5. She also does not mention Ahmir in her latest social media posts. In the penultimate episode of the series, Jazz and Ahmir agreed to have a “no commitment” relationship. Nothing was said about their romance since then.
