Jennifer Aniston wanted to have a baby with Brad Pitt before their split.

Pitt and Aniston recently had a “powerful moment” when they reunited at the SAG Awards. Several were hoping for the exes to get back together. Following their split over 10 years ago, there were rumors that they parted ways because the “Murder Mystery” actress did not want to have a baby. However, that was not true.

Aniston actually had baby plans before their separation. The “Cake” actress was very open to the possibility of being a parent with Pitt when her hit TV series “Friends” was wrapping up.

“Yeah. It’s time. It’s time,” Aniston told The Guardian when asked about having a baby. “You know, I think you can work with a baby, I think you can work pregnant, I think you can do all of it. So I’m just truly looking forward to slowing down.”

Aniston did not specify a timeline. However, the actress shared her plans of traveling with her then-husband, who was also finishing his film with Angelina Jolie at the time.

“I'll have finished ‘Friends’ by end of January, he'll be finishing [Mr and Mrs Smith, opposite Angelina Jolie] at the end of February. Then he starts ‘Ocean’s Twelve’. So I, thankfully, will be able to go and travel with him while he's doing that.”

Unfortunately, her plans did not push through since they divorced shortly. Following their divorce, Aniston received intense backlash due to the claims that Pitt left her because she didn’t want to have a child. The “Horrible Bosses” star didn’t hide her disappointment over the speculations that she chose her career over children.

“That really pissed me off. I’ve never in my life said I didn’t want to have children. I did and I do and I will! The women that inspire me are the ones who have careers and children; why would I want to limit myself? I’ve always wanted to have children, and I would never give up that experience for a career. I want to have it all,” Aniston told Vanity Fair in 2016, a year after she and Pitt divorced.

Pitt and Aniston have rekindled their friendship and this is evident when they were photographed together at the SAG Awards. According to body language expert Patti Wood, based on their actions, Pitt wanted Aniston to stay while the latter was having inner conflict between keeping her connection with her ex-husband and moving on from him.
