Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey have been divorced since 2005. Since that time each one of them have moved on with their love lives -- on May 1, 2012, Simpson welcomed a daughter, Maxwell, with fiancé, Eric Johnson, and Lachey announced he is expecting with wife, Vanessa Lachey, on March 5, 2012.

Even though Simpson and Lachey are no longer husband and wife, it doesn't look like there is any bad blood between them. According to, Lachey sent Simpson a gift while she was still in the hospital.

A large basket of pink and white cookies were delivered to Jessica's hospital room at Cedars-Sinai earlier from Nick and Vanessa, an unnamed source told The basket was delivered by Cookies By Design and included seven huge cookies with adorable baby girl decorations.

Simpson and Lachey began dating in 1999, when Simpson toured with Lachey's group, 98 Degrees, to support the release of her first album. In October of 2002, Simpson and Lachey married in California and the wedding special aired on MTV.

In 2003, Simpson's and Lachey's reality show, Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, premiered on MTV. The show followed Lachey and Simpson as they navigated their lives as newlyweds. The hit series displayed a goofy, ditzy side of Simpson not many had seen before, which spawned some pretty hilarious tabloid fodder. In one episode Simpson asked Lachey if Chicken of the Sea tuna was actually chicken and if Buffalo wings were made out of actual buffalos.

In 2005, Simpson and Lachey announced they were separating, and their divorce was finalized the next year. At the time, the split seemed relatively amicable -- neither bad mouthed the other in public.

When Lachey was asked about Simpson's engagement in 2010, he had nothing but nice things to say about his ex-wife.

I will say the same thing I always say: I wish her the very best, he said to Us Weekly.

Lachey and Simpson are not the only Hollywood exes that have remained friendly over the years.

Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton

The couple were famously enamored (or was it obsessed?) with each other while they were married; wearing viles of each other's blood around their necks, bragging about having sex in limos before awards shows and making out on numerous red carpets. But, the romance was short lived; after only a two-month courtship and a three year marriage, their divorce was finalized in 2003. The two, however, have remained friendly over the years with Thornton not having anything but nice things to say about Jolie and Jolie penning an introduction for Thornton's book, The Billy Bob Tapes: A Cave Full of Ghosts.

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston

For years, tabloids have promoted a so-called feud rift between these famous exes, with further bad blood between Aniston and Angelina Jolie. Aniston and Pitt have never commented negatively about each other in the press, except for Aniston saying Pitt lacked a sensitivity chip after posing with Jolie and model kids as a family in W magazine in July 2005 - only four months after Pitt and Aniston separated. Since then Pitt and Jolie have become engaged and have six children together and Aniston is in a happy relationship with Justin Theroux. The exes reportedly couldn't be happier for one another.

Demi Moore and Bruce Willis

Demi Moore and Bruce Willis were married for 13 years and have three children together. After Moore and Willis' divorce, Moore romanced and subsequently married Ashton Kutcher. Moore, Willis and Kutcher quickly became the poster trio for happily blended families frequently appearing together on red carpets. Willis is now remarried to Emma Heming and they have one child together. As Moore and Kutcher divorced under more contentious circumstances - Kutcher allegedly had an affair that went very public -- it remains to be seen if they will remain friendly, although Kutcher stays in touch with his three soon-to-be-former stepchildren.

Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake

Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake have been another couple that have become the faces of friendly exes in Hollywood. Diaz and Timberlake have worked together on a couple movies including Shrek and Bad Teacher, where they had a hilarious sex scene together. The ex-couple have said that working together has always been fun. Timberlake is now engaged to Jessica Biel and Diaz has been involved in a currently off, on-again-off-again relationship with Alex Rodriguez.

Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards

Charlie Sheen may be a notorious bad boy, but that doesn't mean he can't be good to his exes. Sheen and ex-wife Denise Richards, who have two children together, have been photographed numerous times together with their children since their divorce in 2005, following three years of marriage. They have even been seen on vacation together. Sheen's relationship with his other ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, has been more complicated. The two have been known to fight, but Sheen also was seen on vacation with her and has been supporting her in her battle with drug addiction.

Will Smith and Sharee Zampino

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are known for their rock-solid Hollywood marriage that is still going strong after 15 years but before Pinkett Smith there was Zampino. Smith and Zampino married in 1992 and welcomed son Willard Christopher Smith II, known as Trey the same year. The couple divorced in 1995, but have remained friendly; often seen together at Trey's school functions. Pinkett Smith is also close with Zampino and calls Trey her bonus son.
