  • Jessica Simpson seemingly slurred her words in a new Pottery Barn advertisement
  • Her weight and speech in the ad sparked concern among her fans
  • Simpson's fans also questioned her "odd behavior" in a sponsored Instagram post back in April

Jessica Simpson did not look or sound like her usual self in a new advertisement, according to her fans.

Simpson sparked concern among her fans after a new ad for Pottery Barn posted to her Instagram Thursday showed the singer seemingly slurring her words, Page Six reported.

"Hi, I'm Jessica Simpson, and welcome to my daughter Birdie's room, designed by Pottery Barn Kids and a little bit of me," the "Irresistible" singer, 42, said in the video.

"I was really drawn to the geometric prints and the color scheme. This really, to me, is Birdie's personality," she continued. "Thank you everyone for checking out the adorable room of Birdie Mae Johnson."

Fans took to the comments to share their concerns about Simpson's weight and speech in the video.

"Something is wrong here," one person suggested, as another noted, "Something seems off..."

"Please tell me I'm not the only one that hears her voice being totally slow...Is she ok?!?!" a third user wrote.

"This makes my heart hurt. She looks so sick," another fan wrote with a crying emoji.

"You OK girl? It's giving sickly. Just making sure you're OK, I love you!" one supporter wrote.

"Respectfully...she looks frail," another observed.

Some urged Simpson to let them know if she needs help, suggesting she may be in a similar situation as Britney Spears, who was freed from a 13-year conservatorship last year.

"Blink twice if you need help Jess," one person commented.

"Great, we saved Britney and now we gotta save Jessica. ... Hold on girl, we're coming," another added.

This wasn't the first time Simpson sparked concern among her fans.

In April, fans questioned Simpson's "odd behavior" and "awkward" demeanor in a sponsored Instagram post for Flonase nasal spray, noting that she appeared "fidgety" and slurred her words.

In the video she posted, the singer-turned-fashion designer can be seen reading from cue cards as she promotes the allergy relief medicine. She holds a bottle of the allergy relief nasal spray in one hand and flails the other around in the clip.

"Painful to watch and sadly I love her," one fan commented on her post at the time, adding, "Flonase, please hire a professional. That was embarrassing to watch."

Another wrote, "Oh my god, her commercial was awful. She slurs her words, and she's so reading cue cards. ... Something is up with her. It was so odd."

The businesswoman lost 100 pounds after she began her weight loss journey three years ago.

"I went to a nutritionist, and I needed to get my eating habits right," she shared in September, adding, "I feel like my old self before I had children and all the hormones going wild. I feel younger, actually."

Simpson also got candid about her health in her 2020 memoir, "Open Book," revealing she was once "killing" herself with an addiction to pills and alcohol.
