Newly unsealed court documents have disclosed shocking revelations by Johnny Depp’s ex-lover Ellen Barkin, who reportedly claimed there was an “air of violence” surrounding the actor during their relationship.

Barkin had testified against the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor during his defamation trial against Amber Heard in May, but much of her testimony did not make it to the videotaped deposition presented in court.

She recalled an incident when Depp hurled a bottle of wine across their room following an argument with his friends. Barkin said while the bottle did not hit her, the aggression did not surprise her at all.

“I wasn’t shocked,” she said. “There is always an air of violence around him. He’s a yeller. He’s verbally abusive. And those things you can see.”

She also recounted how her relationship with Depp, who was her friend at the time, turned sexual.

“He came on to me in the living room of my house, pulled me onto his lap and said something like, ‘Oh, come on Ellen,’ or whatever. I protested a little and then—not too much. And that was that,” she said.

Barkin went on to claim Depp gave her a drug so they could have sex, saying, “He gave me a Quaalude and asked me if I wanted to f**k.”

While Barkin’s deposition about Depp being jealous and controlling was played in court, her claim about the actor hurling a bottle across their room and giving her drugs to have sex with her were not included in the evidence presented to the jury.

Depp and Barkin dated briefly in 1997 during the filming of “Fear and Loathing” in Las Vegas. Their relationship came a year after Depp’s romance with English model Kate Moss.

In her deposition, which was presented on the fifth week of the trial, Barkin described Depp as a jealous and controlling man. She claimed while he could be kind, especially to her children, he could be cruel to people “beneath him,” such as his assistant whom he called “pig.”

"People who would work on the film maybe in what he would view as a lower capacity than he functions at. There is just a world of violence," she said.
