Singer and songwriter JoJo is joining the cast of CW’s “All American” in a recurring role that almost reflects her long musical career.

JoJo, who was born Joanna Levesque, will play the role of Sabine, a world-famous recording artist who started her career at the age of 10. In her search for new music, she decides to collaborate with Layla (Greta Onieogou) who will act as a young music producer. She will make her first appearance in the show on Feb. 21 when “All American” returns to the screen for Season 4, Deadline reported.

The 31-year-old “Aquamarine” star tweeted about her appearance in the show and wrote, “let’s gooooo! i adore this cast. thanks for having me @CWAllAmerican #allamerican.”

The “All American” cast consists of Daniel Ezra as Spencer James, Taye Diggs as Billy Baker, Samantha Logan as Olivia Baker, Bre-Z as Coop, Greta Onieogou as Layla Keating, Monet Mazur Laura Baker, Michael Evans Behling Jordan Baker, Cody Christian as Asher Adams, Karimah Westbrook as Grace James and Chelsea Tavares as Patience.

JoJo started working in the music industry at the age of 13 when she auditioned for Blackground Records in 2003 after competing in “America’s Most Talented Kids.”

She released her self-titled album in 2004 which contained her smash hit “Leave (Get Out).” She also released “Too Little Too Late” in 2006 which jumped from No. 66 to No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot 100.

In 2013, she filed a lawsuit against Blackground Records and Da Family Records saying that she is no longer their artist after seven years of being with them. JoJo claimed that her parents signed the deal in 2004 when she was a minor. She said her contract should have expired in 2011.

She bounced back in 2016 with the release of her album, “Mad Love,” under Atlantic Records that marked a new beginning in her career.

“That was around Christmas—it was a few days after my birthday. The day I got the call, I was at my lawyer’s fiancée’s apartment, and we were just hanging out. I got the call that they had dropped their countersuit against me and I was free from the contract that had kept me in a state of limbo for so long,” she told Glamour in 2016.
