Laura Dern is “excited” to be back as Ellie Sattler in “Jurassic World 3.” In a recent interview, the actress spoke about what it is like to reprise her role and also talked about working with the original cast who made the first movie together in 1993.

In an interview with IMDB, Dern was asked about what it is like to reprise her role as Ellie. She said that she loves the idea of being back with actors like Alan Grant actor Sam Neill and Ian Malcolm actor Jeff Goldbulm. The actress added that being back with these original actors was like getting back to her family.

Both Neill and Goldblum have had substantive roles in the films from the franchise that were made after the 1993 original. Dern had a small role in the 2001 flick “Jurassic Park 3,” Screen Rant reported. She will now be getting her chance to play a substantive role in “Jurassic World 3.”

Talking about her character, Dern described Ellie as a character who was idolized by kids who felt that she was one of the “first feminist bad-a-s action characters.” She didn’t reveal how the film will bring the character back, but she said that loves the idea of seeing where the Ellie is in her life after all these years.

Dern has played a part in many popular movies since her role in “Jurassic Park.” However, she said that she has grown up alongside Ellie.

Meanwhile, Colin Trevorrow is working had with his production team. He recently teased a video of a baby triceratops animatronics inside a cage. The plot of “Jurassic World 3” is currently being kept under wraps, but the video suggests that one of the elements will continue to be about humans wanting to capture the dinosaurs to use them for their own purposes.
