Karrueche Tran, Chris Brown Update: Seeing Royalty On The BBMA Red Carpet Broke Her Heart: Report

Karrueche Tran has mixed feelings about Royalty, the daughter Chris Brown fathered with model Nia Guzman. Tran doesn’t blame her rapper ex for taking his child as his date to the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, but it did hurt her, an insider told Hollywood Life in an exclusive report Monday.

“While Royalty is completely innocent, seeing her reminds [Tran] that Chris cheated on her and broke her heart all at the same time. Karrueche is hurt and it’s Chris’ fault and no one else's,” an insider said. “Her anger is directed toward Chris and Chris only.” Tran reportedly bought Royalty a birthday gift, too.

Tran, 27, didn’t find out about Royalty until the baby was 9 months old. At the time, she broke up with Brown in a public Twitter post. Though the “Loyal” singer has since been able to woo her back, old wounds were opened when Tran saw Royalty on the red carpet with him Sunday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

“Karrueche can’t knock Chris for taking his daughter with him to the Billboard Awards,” the source said. “That was a very stand-up thing for him to do and she’s proud he did that. She saw pictures of them together and it made her smile and hurt at the same time.”

Brown brought his daughter to the 2015 BBMA because he wanted to show the public how much he loves her, Hollywood Life wrote in a different story. “She’d better get used to having her picture taken and being on the red carpet, because that’s going to be her life,” the source said. “Chris wants to take Royalty everywhere he goes and expose her to his world -- the music world and Hollywood.”

Guzman has remained quiet and didn’t issue a statement about Brown taking their daughter to the 2015 BBMA where he performed.
