Kate Middleton and her ex-model neighbor Rose Hanbury have no issues with each other.

The Sun’s executive director Dan Wootton reported that the Duchess of Cambridge and the Marchioness of Cholmondeley had a “terrible” falling-out. It was so serious that Prince William had to step in to broker peace between the two women, but Middleton reportedly didn’t want to see Rose again and instead asked the Duke of Cambridge to phase her out from their inner circle.

Daily Mail’s Richard Kay said that the report isn’t true. According to him, Middleton and Rose are even considering to take legal actions. He also added that the issue was just made up to damage Middleton.

“I am told the rumours of a falling out between these two attractive young women are false,” Kay wrote.

“I can also reveal both sides have considered legal action but, because none of the reports have been able to offer any evidence about what the so-called dispute is about, they have chosen to ignore it,” he continued.

Kay said that the gossip started doing the rounds at smart dinner parties last year and it seemed that it was done for a purpose — to throw shade at the royal mom of three.

“There has been talk that the rumours were got up to damage Kate,” Kay added.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge reportedly found the issue “troubling” because they have always been careful about friendship and placed a “premium” on trust. Kay added that as a wife and mom, Middleton would “never put a foot wrong.” Her family is also loyal and discreet and her friends never chatted to any gossip magazines unlike what Meghan Markle’s friends did to People and Vanity Fair.

Unlike the previous reports suggesting that Middleton and Rose are very close, a source close to the latter said that the couples have been to each other’s homes only three times. Although they only see each other occasionally, they actually like each other.

Middleton and Rose’s reported rivalry came to be because both are living in Norfolk. It was reported earlier that the Duchess of Cambridge was threatened by Rose as she vied to be the queen of the Turnip Toffs.
