  • Kate Middleton has stepped up into a more confident role

Kate Middleton’s move to open up about motherhood is not a “vanity exercise.”

The Duchess of Cambridge has been part of the royal family for nearly 10 years already. She isn’t as active as her sister-in-law Meghan Markle, but she has been steady in what she does.

Just recently, she opened up about motherhood during her interview in “Happy Mum, Happy Baby Podcast.” During her guesting, she spoke about her grandmother and how she spends time with her three children, Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1.

A source praised Prince William’s wife for her efforts for the kids and mothers out there. For her, it only showed what Middleton learned over the years.

“She is exposing herself,” the source told People. “This is not a vanity exercise. This is her talking about her work and what she has learned as a mother because of her work.”

Middleton said during the interview that she also felt guilty when she left her kids behind to attend to her royal duties. According to the Duchess of Cambridge, just like any other mother, she also experiences how it feels to be torn between one’s obligations for one’s family and job.

“Yes, absolutely — and anyone who doesn’t as a mother is actually lying!” Middleton said.

“Yep — all the time. You know, even this morning, coming to the nursery visit here, George and Charlotte were like, ‘Mummy, how could you possibly not be dropping us off at school this morning?’”

The duchess also shared that she had an “amazing granny” who spent a lot of time with them. They played together and created arts and crafts. They also went to the greenhouse and enjoyed gardening. At times, they also cooked together. Middleton said that she incorporates a lot of those experiences in rearing up her own kids.

Meanwhile, royal expert Omid Scobie admitted that there was a time when Markle did less than what was expected from her. However, the future queen has visibly stepped up into a more confident role as she found her niche.

Middleton is focused on helping children and mothers. She has been working on this field in the past years and will continue to dedicate her time and effort on this matter in the next decades.
