Kensington Palace is in hot water due to an illustration.

Lucie M Goulet, founder of Women in FP, shared a photo on Twitter. In the caption, she wrote: “These images used by Kensington Royal to illustrate terrorism... I hope Prince William also worked on the threats from white supremacists and similar types of terrorism.”

It’s unknown how Goulet gained access of the photos because they are not posted on Kensington Palace’s Twitter and Instagram accounts. However, the netizens were quick to react on the said post.

The snap featured black men and this irked the netizens. One accused the palace of racism. “Racism is alive and well in KP,” Waleska wrote.

Another user said that the photos weren’t only “racist and insensitive“ but it also displayed the “staggering incompetence” from Kensington Palace. The same user continued and said that the household split was best thing that could have happened to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as the couple no longer have to deal with the palace’s “tone deaf arrogance and incompetence.”

Others find the photo “disturbing,” “disgusting” and “irresponsible.” Another netizen questioned the palace’s move and asked if the terrorist who murdered the people in New Zealand was black.

Other users couldn’t believe that Kensington Palace used the photo and called the team “stupid” and “dumb.”

Susan G. wanted the team behind Kensington Palace to be fired and get a new one who can “post with more sensitivity.” According to her, Prince William is “looking like a dork with the way they post.”

A different netizen commented that she read an article about Prince William’s time on MI6 and added that they highlighted the connection between the Christchurch terrorist attack with a white supremacist group in Britain.

Alaina Rose linked the issue to the Duchess of Sussex. According to her, the palace didn’t do anything to protect Prince Harry’s wife from racist attacks online but deleted the issues about Prince William’s alleged affair.

Kensington Palace confirmed that the Duke of Cambridge concluded a three-week attachment to MI5, MI6 and GCHQ. However, they only shared one snap in their post both on Instagram and Twitter and it wasn’t the controversial picture that the netizens had been talking about.
