Kesha delighted her music fans and TikTok fans everywhere when she posted a video of herself Wednesday completing the “Cannibal” dance routine popular on TikTok, adding her own flair in the process.

The dance is set to a clip from her song “Cannibal” from her “Animal” album released in 2010. The video features a side by side or “duet” in TikTok terms with 15-year-old TikTok star Charli D’Amelio.

D’Amelio is famous for often being one of the first to try new dance routines trending on the app, or to create choreography of her own set to popular music.

Kesha’s song set to dance moves originally created by teenager Briana Hantsch, according to Genius, has been trending on TikTok for the past few weeks since the teen first uploaded a video of herself doing the moves.

When Kesha posted her own video completing the challenge, fans were quick to share their excitement that not only was doing the dance but also over the similarity in the app’s name and one of her earlier songs. In 2009, Kesha released her debut single, “Tik Tok,” which earned her a No. 1 spot on Billboard’s charts and also helped propel her to fame. The app and song title are spelled the same, with the only difference being the spacing of the words.

Kesha’s TikTok video now has more than 938,000 likes and her Twitter post has 8,000.
