Nearly every four years we experience an extra day in the calendar year in the form of February 29, which is known as a leap day. These additional 24 hours ensures that the earth stays aligned with the Earth’s movement around the sun.

The occasion is also known as a “Leap Year,” which is the same name as the popular movie starring Amy Adams. The movie is based on the Irish tradition in which a man must accept a marriage proposal from a woman during the astronomical event.
