A man was arrested after he allegedly admitted to carrying out two robberies within two days in Orlando, Florida, because he was "bored."

The suspect, identified as 45-year-old Nicolas Zapater-Lamadrid, reportedly robbed a TD bank and a Circle K gas station two days apart, according to police. He was caught on camera wearing a hat with the word "POLICE" written on it, along with the same sunglasses during both robberies, WESH reported.

The first robbery took place on Dec. 5 at around 9:30 a.m. at a TD Bank on South Orange Avenue. During the investigation, the bank teller told detectives that he was given a note with the words "assault" and "money" typed on it. After getting the money, Zapater-Lamadrid fled the scene on foot. The bank teller also told detectives they believed the robber was carrying a firearm because his hand was in his pocket, according to Fox35Orlando.

The second robbery took place Wednesday at around 7 p.m. at Circle K on South Fern Creek Avenue. This time, the clerk was handed over a note, saying, "Give me all the money and a pack of 305's 100's please." The clerk also informed the police that they believed Zapater-Lamadrid had a weapon on him during the robbery.

As police officers responded to the robbery at Circle K, they located Zapater-Lamadrid standing in front of the store. He also had the stolen money and cigarettes he robbed from the store when the police took him into custody.

After being arrested, Zapater-Lamadrid confessed to robbing Circle K because he was "bored" and suffered from "impulsive behavior," the Orlando Police Department said.

Details regarding the charges against the robber were not given by the authorities.

In an unrelated incident, a 68-year-old man was taken into custody for robbing a California bank last month. The bank's clerk described the robber as an elderly man with a walker as he approached the counter and handed over a demand note. The clerk gave the robber around $200 with a tracking device enclosed, which helped in locating him a short distance away. "He did not get very far with his walker," the police said.
