A man, Robert Mannis, 61, allegedly masturbated in front of two women on back-to-back days in Manhattan subway station. The police is now seeking the public's help in searching for the man and put him behind the bars, it said Wednesday, according to a report.

The first instance was on Oct. 2 when Mannis masturbated in front of a 27-year-old woman in the 34th St. Herald Square station just before 6:30 p.m. EDT, police said.

He repeated the act the next day as well, just before 9:45 a.m. EDT and while doing so, he stared at a 23-year-old woman on a northbound E train at the Lexington Avenue 53rd St. station, police said, according to New York Daily News.

Police said that the pervert man also took photographs of the woman with his phone.

This was not the first time, Mannis was caught exposing himself in a subway station. In March too, he was arrested after he masturbated aboard a B train in February, DNAinfo, an online news website reported.

Mannis had reportedly exposed himself and then masturbated on the train around 9:20 p.m. Feb. 13 after which he fled, police had said.

It was found out that Mannis was also involved in another such incident Feb. 7 where he exposed himself while walking up a subway station, New York Police Department officials had said.

He was charged with two counts of public lewdness.

Mannis has a criminal history as he has been in and out of state prison six times on attempted burglary and robbery charges since 1974. Most recently, he was released in 2012, New York Daily News reported.

Subway stations are not new to these nasty acts carried out by some men. In May 2016, an alleged serial subway masturbator apparently approached women on trains with questions following which he would start masturbating, police said, according to NBC New York.

The suspect had done so in five different incidents on the subway in Manhattan since late March 2016.

In the first incident that took place March 28, 2016, the man approached a woman riding the F train and asked her whether it was an express train, according to police. Then, he began to masturbate under his sweatshirt and exited at Rockefeller Center.

The suspect repeatedly masturbated in the coming few days in front of different women.

In June 2015, a woman filed a complaint with the NYPD after recording a video of a fellow passenger who, as she said, masturbated "to completion" on an uptown A train, a report said.

"I got in the first car of the A train at Hoyt/Schermerhorn around 10 a.m., and saw a young man with his penis out of his pants, masturbating. He was using his hat to hide but from where I was standing I could clearly see what he was doing. He kept looking around. I moved a few steps away and took a photo, and then a video," the woman said.

She added: "In the tunnel between High Street and Fulton, he 'cleaned himself' and then got off at Fulton Street."
