Indiana Jones would have broken into a cold sweat looking at the fearless guy filmed casually taking a stroll down a street clutching a python and a parrot perched on his shoulder.

As soon as the video was posted on the internet, users were both amused and angry at the guy for the disrespectful treatment he meted out to the python.

Australian TikToker Hayley Roben said she was waiting at the red light in her car with some of her friends when she witnessed the jaw-dropping spectacle, which left them gasping and giggling in equal measure.

Roben quickly filmed the man and posted the video on TikTok, where it racked up over 40,000 "likes."

In the viral video, the unidentified man could be seen walking down a road blithely with a yellow parrot on his shoulder and a snake held casually in his hand as one might hold a toy. The guy can be seen bobbing his head from side-to-side and even dancing a little as he walks past Roben’s car. As Roben filmed the video, her friends were heard laughing in the video.

"Are you kidding me? Look at him, he's having the best time," a person was heard saying in the video.

"Surely that's illegal," one of Roben’s co-passengers was heard saying in the video.

A few seconds into the video, the man stops at a pedestrian crossing and lowers the snake to the road, where it sits obediently as the guy pushes a button. He is then seen picking up the snake again and played on his phone as he waited to cross the road, which in a way had an eerie likeness to the act of popping one’s shopping bags while you search your pocket for keys.

In Roben’s TikTok handle, many users slammed the man for his awkward handling of the python and showed their concern for the snake’s wellbeing.

"Please don't think it's okay to handle a poor danger noodle like this," one user said in the comment section.

"Instead of filming and laughing, you could call the RSPCA," said another.

"I really think the snake isn't feeling too well. Doesn't even move when he puts it down, it's probably in shock or half-dead," said another.

Australia houses 14 species of pythons, constituting half of the world’s total 31 species, which is why the nation is called the land of pythons.

In January last year, a man from New Zealand was shocked to find a python coiled inside his guitar at his home in Australia. The kiwi man had reportedly strummed a few tunes in the guitar when it struck him that the guitar was heavier than usual. The Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers had identified the creature as a carpet python. Later, the snake was rescued by a snake catcher and relocated.
