Six new singles are saying “I do” to complete strangers. Lifetime’s “Married At First Sight” returns Tuesday, and International Business Times has an exclusive sneak-peek video from the Season 7 premiere.

The clip (which can be watched above) introduces Amber Martorana and Dave Flaherty. The bride is a perky blonde who wants structure, order and a husband. “At this point, I really have a fear that I’m becoming a cat lady because I am 36 years old and I live alone with my cat,” she jokes. She wants someone to have a baby with, and that means she needs to get to work on finding her soul mate.

Dave is an athletic man who has grown close with his friends’ kids. He’s happy with his life, but the only thing missing is a wife. He wants to cook for someone and live the simple life. It sounds like he is also very anxious to start a family.

“I’m ready to be with someone who is ready to start a family, start a life together,” he says. “I can’t wait to have kids. I think I’m going to be a really good dad.”

Both love working, going to the gym and relaxing at home, so they seem like a flawless match right now. Their seemingly perfect pairing is the whole point.

Now in its seventh season, Lifetime’s “Married at First Sight” features three experts — sociologist Dr. Pepper Schwartz, psychologist Dr. Jessica Griffin and Pastor Cal Roberson — who match participants with the person who looks like their soulmate on paper. The singles are hoping that they will find love, but the social experiment doesn’t always work out. Only four out of 18 couples remain together.

Griffin recently told IBT that the experts take their jobs very seriously, and they’re sad whenever marriages end in divorce.

“When couples are happy, we feel great joy for them. When they struggle, we struggle right along with them,” Griffin explained. “It is up to the couple as to how much work they put in or whether or not they want to stay in their marriages. When a relationship ends, I experience sadness for them and also question myself professionally such as is there more we could have done, was this the right match, and/or how can we learn from this and improve the matching process for the next round of couples?”

Find out what’s to come for Amber and Dave when “Married at First Sight” Season 7 premieres Tuesday at 9 p.m. EDT on Lifetime.
