Imagine enjoying a day at water parks, twisting down the most insane slides, enjoying splashes of water and getting paid mega bucks for it. That's precisely the life of content creator Alex Ojeda, whose love for adrenaline rush has made him a popular five-figure social media influencer.

Ojeda, 21, earns more than a regular American taxpayer by just making videos of his adventures. Initially, the Mexican-American influencer dived into the world of content creation by merely sharing lip-synced clips and dance videos. He eventually transitioned to reviewing water park rides, according to Business Insider.

He has tapped the nerve of social media popularity by creating a number of viral videos in which he rides water park slides and partakes in other extreme activities one can see in an adventure park. He also refers to himself as a "Cruisoholic" and has posted pictures of a number of exotic destination cruises on his social media pages.

Going down the tallest water slide in North America took his influencer career graph upward. He shot a POV video of himself while enjoying the experience and posted it online, and the clip was viewed over 3 million times in just under one week, SportsKeeda reported. By uploading videos of himself and his adventures, he has amassed a following of over 9 million on social media, with a substantial portion of them being on TikTok.

As parks reopened after the pandemic closure, he assisted the North American water park business in recovering, giving his water park partners access to hundreds of millions of impressions, according to WWA Show. Early in 2020, Ojeda was appointed as a TikTok Creator Ambassador. He even collaborated with Disney on their debut TikTok promotion.

Travel is an integral part of TikTok's de facto water park king's lifestyle since it is the only way he can consistently provide material for all of his social media platforms. He revealed in an interview with Business Insider that he regularly spends a few days in his house in Austin before departing for his next destination, to which he usually travels by cruise ship.

Water park content is a valuable niche that he has penetrated and in which he earns thousands of dollars each month doing brand deals and creator incentive programs by uploading videos on TikTok and other short-video platforms such as Insta reels, Snapchat Spotlight and YouTube Shorts.

Ojeda's earnings reached $8,500 in a single month on Instagram alone, thanks to the company's Reels Bonus Program, which pays creators solely on views of their videos. Additionally, he has a hugely popular YouTube channel with more than 1.2 million subscribers. His monthly profits on the said platform can reach $10,000.

"Content Creators are starting to make their niches into their business and becoming a brand themselves," Ojeda said, as per the outlet.

Piggybacking on his fame, Ojeda aspires to turn his reach into a profitable venture by having his own water park in the future. He wants to name it "Ojeda Bay Water Park." Through learning about the industry by working as the management team's wingman, he is advancing passionately toward his goals in his early 20s.
