Since Meghan Markle gave birth to baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor in May, she has been focused on spending time with her son rather than worrying about her weight.

Although the media has praised celebrities and royals like Kate Middleton for their getting back down to their pre-baby weight, Meghan is content knowing her post-baby body is inspiring women to stay healthy.

“It’s not easy to lose the weight, but she’s happy to be a realistic example for new mothers,” a source told Us Weekly.

News of Meghan’s dedication to following a healthy weight loss regimen comes after Kensington Palace slammed accusations that Kate has had “baby botox.” In a now-deleted post, Dr. Munir Somji, of the Dr. Medi Spa Clinic in London, shared photos of Kate claiming she received botox injections.

In the past, Kate has been criticized for setting unrealistic examples for women. Following each of her three pregnancies, Kate attended photocalls shortly after giving birth. In the photos, she appeared to be in great spirits with perfect hair and makeup.

In May, Oprah Winfrey praised Meghan for being realistic about childbirth and choosing to host a photocall two days after delivering her baby.

“Oh my God. I’m so proud of her decisions. To be able to stand up and say, this is what I really want for my baby and my family, and now, I’m going to do it a different way when it's been done that way for a thousand years? I’m just so proud of her,” Winfrey said.

“Who is ready to walk out and stand before the world and put that face on, you know, a day after you’ve had a baby?”

Meghan, who is still “adjusting to motherhood and really happy,” seems in no rush to drop her baby weight. However, it appears she plans to follow a healthy path as he continues her weight loss journey.
