Melania Trump believes that her naturalization process was fair.

The first lady was born in Slovenia and migrated to the United States for a greener pasture. She flew to New York for her modeling career and she got more than that. Melania is married to President Donald Trump and is the current first lady. For this reason she got more critics and her life has been scrutinized including her U.S. citizenship.

Several attacked Melania for her Einstein visa. One even called the FLOTUS an opportunist and a gold digger.

Another said that Melania entered the U.S. illegally without the required permit. She also received an Einstein visa that was based on having a college degree, but she allegedly lied about her educational background. Thus, many are calling to deport the FLOTUS.

Despite the controversies surrounding her U.S. citizenship, Melania insisted that her naturalization process was fair.

“I followed the rules,” Melania said in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in 2016.

“I came here for my career, and I did so well, I moved here. It never crossed my mind to stay here without papers. That is just the person you are. You follow the rules. You follow the law.”

According to the FLOTUS, every few months, she had to fly back to Europe and stamp her visa. After a few visas, she applied for a green card and got it in 2001. After the green card, she applied for citizenship. Overall, Melania said that it was a long process.

Comedian Trevor Noah shared a hilarious throwback video explaining how the POTUS is trying to deport his own wife. According to the “Daily Show” host, Donald’s immigration policies seemed to aim at his wife.

For instance, the president often complained about immigrants coming and working in the U.S. illegally, an issue which Melania has been subjected to. Second, the POTUS criticized chain migration policy. Melania reportedly helped her parents chain-migrate to the U.S. and that’s what Donald wants to stop.

In related news, Donald confessed that he got a beautiful card for Melania for Christmas. However, Twitter users mocked it, with one saying that she also wanted to give the FLOTUS a “sympathy card,” but she doesn’t have any sympathy for the first lady. Others suggested that the best gift Donald can give to his wife are divorce papers.
