Donald Trump, the 45th president of the United States, has become a favorite subject of mockery and condemnations since he took the oath of office in 2017. Also, the POTUS has been dragged in numerous issues and controversies since the start of his presidency. Now, the father of Ivanka Trump is facing the biggest challenge in his political career: impeachment. While Donald continues to defend himself from obstruction of Congress and abuse of power allegations, some people are wondering where Melania Trump is amidst the mayhem.

Refinery29 pointed out there has been lesser news about Melania since President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial kicked off. The entertainment publication shared that the First Lady of the United States appears to be “hibernating” like the rest of the Americans this winter.

It suggested that Melania might be busy renovating the East Room of the White House in Washington D.C. Also, the FLOTUS could be focusing on the Be Best campaign, which concentrates on some of the primary issues children are facing today such as bullying, online safety and opioid use.

In December 2019, CNN reporter Kate Bennett revealed to Washingtonian that Melania Trump is, actually, not the person we thought her to be. The journalist revealed that the FLOTUS is one of the most powerful and influential persons living in the White House. Though most people think Melania does not enjoy her life as the wife of President Donald Trump, Kate said she actually loves it.

“Some people think she’s miserable and angry and trapped in the White House. And there are people who will always think she’s complicit and don’t want to know any more about her,” Kate said about Melania during an appearance on CNN’s “New Day” show. “But I think there are people who are compelled by her story and how she ended up in this bizarre place. She seems to have not compromised her Melania-ness at all to take on this role,” she continued.

Despite being together for two decades, Kate Bennett said Melania Trump and the POTUS do not share the same bed. The author of the “Free, Melania: The Unauthorized Biography” book even described the first couple as an “independent” pair, who loves to work freely on their respective tasks.

“I think that this is an independent couple. They are not joined at the hip, as her office has told me several times. She's independent, she likes her own space, she's a bit of a loner,” Kate said. “And I think that the first couple have, in their 20 years together, found a way to make their marriage work and one of those things is not sharing a bedroom,” she went on.
