Michelle Obama shares an artwork featuring George Floyd while announcing that she is pained and exhausted about the issue.

The former first lady joined the list of celebrities who shared their pain and disgust on what happened to Floyd. The black American was accused of using a counterfeit $20 bill at a Minneapolis deli.

He was cooperative during the arrest. However, the white officer pinned him down and kneeled on his neck.

Floyd begged for his life by telling the officer that he couldn’t breathe. However, the officer didn’t listen and refused to let him go until he was unresponsive. Floyd was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. The whole incident broke Obama’s heart.

“Like so many of you, I’m pained by these recent tragedies,” the ex-FLOTUS wrote on Twitter. “And I’m exhausted by a heartbreak that never seems to stop. Right now it’s George, Breonna, and Ahmaud. Before that it was Eric, Sandra, and Michael. It just goes on, and on, and on.”

“Race and racism is a reality that so many of us grow up learning to just deal with. But if we ever hope to move past it, it can’t just be on people of color to deal with it,” Obama added.

She continued writing that it depends on everyone how well-meaning he thinks of himself. According to her, it starts with self-examination and listening to those whose lives are different.

“It ends with justice, compassion, and empathy that manifests in our lives and on our streets. I pray we all have the strength for that journey, just as I pray for the souls and the families of those who were taken from us,” Obama concluded.

Billie Eilish is also campaigning for justice for Floyd. In her post, she slammed those who argued with the #BlackLivesMatter movement by countering it with “all lives matters.”

The “Bad Guy” singer reminded the whites that they are privileged. Also, even if they are promoting black lives matter, it doesn’t devalue the lives of the whites and other people. It’s just that the blacks need more attention.

Meanwhile, Beyoncé called her fans to support the different petitions seeking for justice for Floyd. According to the “Halo” singer, someone has been charged but justice is still far from being achieved.
