Some people immediately began to speculate that Miley Cyrus was pregnant after she canceled her show in Kansas City on Tuesday and was taken to a hospital. The rumor has been around for some time, but kicked up again at the beginning of the month after Life & Style magazine said the “Adore You” singer was with child and didn’t know who the father is.

The Staples Center in Kansas City, Mo., stated that the star had to be treated for an allergic reaction to an antibiotic. Cyrus, 21, posted pictures from her hospital bed and said she was heartbroken that she couldn’t perform for her fans on Tuesday night.

Cyrus’ hospitalization just fueled rumors that she could be expecting a “baby bangerz” in the future. The starlet seemed to brush off rumors that she was pregnant by sharing a magazine cover that had a picture of her crying on the front as she held one of her puppies close to her heart. It read, “Miley’s Tears: Pregnant & Scared.” The cover also said, “Miley breaks down as her baby news goes public.”

It’s unlikely that news of an unplanned pregnancy is what upset Cyrus in the picture. She was open about the fact that her dog Floyd died, shared a picture of him on Twitter and dedicated multiple posts to the deceased pup.

The pixie-haired singer responded by accompanying a picture of the cover with loads of “thumbs up” emojis, and it seemed that she was making fun of the rumor. It doesn’t look like there’s going to be a mini-Miley any time soon, even though the pregnancy rumors persist. In the past, she confronted the rumors head on, but she seems to be taking a more vague approach these days.

In September 2013 after the MTV Video Music Awards, a pregnancy story went viral after it was alleged she and Juicy J were expecting a little bundle of joy. It turned out, however, it was just a prank started by the parody website CreamBMP.com.

"I assure you she’s been doing a lot more than twerking,” Juicy J was quoted by the parody account. CreamBMP.com then added that Cyrus “blurted out” they were “expecting.” When the crowd began to laugh, she reportedly said, “No, I’m really pregnant.”

The constant gossip over Cyrus' womb has left many Twitterati confused. Some of their comments have been posted below:
