A minor boy in India was arrested after he killed his father allegedly over his alcoholism and for frequently assaulting his mother and elder sister. The teen boy took help from three other people and beat to death his father after his mother left the house following a quarrel, police said.

The 50-year-old victim, Ranjit Lal, from the capital city of Delhi, was found dead lying in a pool of blood inside his home after officials got a report about the murder on Nov. 14, news outlet India Today reported.

The victim's wife and children reported to the cops that they found the man dead in the morning. The investigation began after the woman told the cops that she had left the residence three days back after Lal physically assaulted her.

Cops then reviewed the CCTV footage of the area and saw the suspects leaving the residence. The minor boy was then taken into custody for questioning. Although he initially tried to mislead the cops, he later admitted to the murder, police were cited as saying by NDTV.

The minor told the investigators that Lal was alcoholic and jobless and depended on his mother and elder sister for money. The boy said his father used to assault his mother and sister when they refused to give him money to buy alcohol.

After Lal's wife left home following the quarrel, the boy reportedly approached his landlord, Jitesh Gupta, asking for help. Gupta then arranged for two other men, identified as Nitin and Aditya, to execute the crime and gave them a baseball bat and bamboo stick for attacking Lal.

The minor, along with the three men, then entered the house and attacked the victim leaving him bleeding profusely. They fled the scene after the assault and were later taken into custody, the report said.

In a similar incident last year, an 18-year-old boy in India strangled his alcoholic mother to death after the woman reportedly kept nagging him for money. The accused, identified as Sunny Yadav, was arrested and charged with murder for killing his mother.
